THE WELL

A Weekly Online Community that Helps You Return to Your Creativity without pressure or perfection.

For those who keep everything going. Who show up fully—for their work, their families, their communities, their kids—because they care deeply.

The perfectionists. The overfunctioners. The creatives in hiding. The creatives on hold. Longing for a life that feels more like their own. Taught that rest is lazy. That joy must be earned. That creativity is a luxury.

But creativity isn’t a luxury. It’s a lifeline.

It’s what helps you stay connected to yourself while

you show up for the people and responsibilities you love.

You are not lazy. You are tired.

Not because you’ve done something wrong—but because you’ve been carrying so much. That tiredness is a signal: it’s time to fill your own well.

You don’t need more time. You need space that’s yours.

Welcome to The Well.

A weekly space to reconnect with your voice, your creativity, and nourish the parts of you that have gone quiet.

"Kelly Jo creates a space where creativity is gently awakened and the lost parts of yourself are lovingly invited back home. "

"My experience working with Kelly Jo was like a balm for the soul. She creates a nourishing, grounded, and soulful space — a space where creativity is gently awakened, and lost parts of yourself are lovingly invited back home. The container she holds feels warm, safe, grounding and entirely free of judgment. Each week, the group became something I truly looked forward to. Kelly’s questions were deep and guiding, and I especially loved how she wove embodiment practices into the experience. It helped me reconnect with forgotten parts of myself and inspired me to explore more — both within and beyond. I’m so deeply grateful I chose to embark on this journey. It brought me into a profound and beautiful reconnection with my inner child. And after a long creative pause, I finally wrote a long essay — and, for the first time in a while, I feel genuinely excited to share more of my writing and wisdom with the world.."

Meet Kelly Jo

Kelly Jo Lillian is a writer, creative guide, and trauma-informed educator with over a decade of experience helping people reconnect with their voice, creativity, and sense of aliveness. She spent over 12 years working in theater, where she first learned the power of storytelling, community, and expression as tools for healing and connection. As a director and producer, she led V-Day events that empowered women to step onto the stage, reclaim their stories, and raise awareness and funds for the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women and Children.

For the past 11 years, Kelly Jo has taught special education in the South Bronx, where she became deeply grounded in trauma-informed practices. Working with students navigating complex emotional and environmental challenges, she created safe, expressive spaces where writing became a pathway to healing. Her classroom has long been a place where creativity and emotional safety go hand in hand—and those same values now live at the center of her current offerings.

Kelly Jo’s work blends her background in theater and poetry with her personal journey of healing and creative reclamation. She draws on body-based practices and emotional exploration—including her ongoing study with Adriana Rizzolo of Body Temple Dance—to help others slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with what’s true. Whether through workshops, group circles, or one-on-one guidance, she holds space for those ready to rediscover their creative spark and find their way home to themselves.

STILL NOT SURE?

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to consider myself an “artist” to join?

Nope. Not at all. This space is for anyone feeling a creative pull—whether you’ve been making art for years or haven’t picked up a pen or brush since childhood. If you’re curious, if you’re longing, if something inside you is stirring—you belong here.

What if I’m not writing a book or working on a specific project?

You don’t need to be creating anything formal to participate. The Well is about reconnecting to your creative self—not about finishing a product. Many people use this space to rekindle creative play, explore inner longings, or reconnect with a voice that’s gone quiet.

What if I can’t make every session live?

While live attendance is encouraged, all sessions will be recorded and uploaded to a private library. You’ll be able to revisit practices and prompts anytime during the month. And you’ll still have ways to stay accountable and connected to the group.

What kind of movement is involved?

Each session includes simple, guided movement practices designed to help you reconnect with your body. Think of it less like choreography and more like a space to feel. These are not workouts or dances to perform—they are invitations to move in a way that brings you into presence. Movement helps us access parts of our creative voice that thinking alone can’t reach.

Our bodies hold so much wisdom and communicate with us in a language that our thoughts cannot. When we move with intention, we soften resistance, open intuitive pathways, and access creative energy that might be buried under tension or fatigue. That go beyond the intellectual. Movement also helps regulate the nervous system so we can meet our creative life with more presence and resilience.

How long is each session?

Each session is 75 minutes. You'll receive a calendar invite after showing up.

"I am so grateful that I got to experience The Artist's Way under Kelly Jo's guidance. Her skillful somatic approach to the classic book made its wisdom that much more real for me and unlocked a deeper level of understanding. Our gatherings each week were a bright point in my week and a real source of community and healing. Kelly Jo's intuitive approach to space-holding leaves room for magic and the unexpected. I promise you will transform."
